Feeling Better
Jilly seems to be feeling better today. Her O2 is back around 95. No fever this morning. She is still coughing a lot but she is not wheezing so no breathing treatment needed. Does not have an appetite but has been up and about playing. I know when my girl is feeling better when we are driving home from the doctor and she has the energy to start throwing things at me from the back seat. Good times.

Worry
Jillian has pnuemonia. She has been coughing for some time now so I took her to the doctor on Sunday. He did not hear anything and she seemed to be doing well so off we went. She had a bad night last night, up coughing, panting, high fever. She had a chest x-ray done today and has a spot on her right lung. Her oxygen levels had dropped some, low 90's. Her PC wants her to be seen tomorrow morning to check her O2 again. She's been resting all day but the coughing has started back up...and the fever. I am hoping for a relatively easy night, we are both tired as I'm fighting a flu bug as well.

Slow news day
Not much going on around here. I don't have much to update about. I guess this would be considered good news. Jilly continues to amaze me with how well she is doing. I am a little sad though that she won't stop growing:) I told her last night to stop it. She laughed at me and called me silly mommy cause it's her job to grow. She also continues to be very strong willed and stubborn. But I am ok with that. She often puts herself on timeout when she is mad or upset - makes my job a lot easier except in the mornings when she gets mad that she can't have a cookie, M&Ms, fudge or ice cream for breakfast and puts her self on time out right when we need to be walking out the door. I bought her a kitty costume for Halloween and she has been wearing it every night since I brought it home. The first night she wore it she crawled around and refused to talk and would only meow. Her personality sometimes takes up the whole room.
As if things could not get any busier Haley is in a play at her school all next week and has started up 4H again - she'll be showing a sheep at the county fair in May. Hopefully makes some good money from it. She also may be participating in the horse project as well - wants to play volleyball and basketball in addition to soccer. What is up with this girl?? Mikayla? Whose Mikayla? The teen queen is just too cool for us these days. But I did get her some Jingle Ball Concert tickets for her birthday - so off to another concert I go.
She is really causing me to increase my cool factor.

Cardiology appointment
Jilly saw Dr. Hattendorf today and had a great check-up. Her o2 sats were 99%! I asked if she thought those were accurate and she said that with how well Jilly is doing that yes, she thought those were pretty accurate and we should expect her 02 sats to be near normal. Dr. Hattendorf was just so pleased with how well Jilly is doing, says she looks fantastic and is just a classic case of what every surgeon/cardiologist would love to see post fontan. Let's all knock on some wood, don't want to jinx myself by speaking that good news out loud.
